The management of the airport has been in contact with several low-cost airlines with regards to the possibility of introducing services to Valence.

This project could become reality, given the large potential of tourists from northern Europe (Benelux, Germany, Scandinavia and UK) that visit this part of the Rhone Valley all year round. A low cost airline makes it viable for tourists to have week-end away trips, in addition to their main holiday, that they might not otherwise make.

The large number of foreign visitors that such low-cost services would bring, would be a fantastic opportunity to further develop the already growing tourist associated businesses in the region. Hotels, restaurants, wine cellars, golf courses, horse riding and racing clubs could all benefit.
